National Science Day is celebrated every year on February 28 to commemorate the discovery of the 'Raman Effect ' which explains the change in the wavelength of light that occurs when a light beam is deflected by molecules. Today in the first period we had philosophy class. Ma'am explained about culture and its features. After that we had optional class. Later, Ancy ma'am taught us about Piaget's cognitive development. In the last hour, Gibi ma'am explained about adjustment process.

Today, we visited Guru Gopinath's Kerala Natanagramam.  Kerala Natanam can be called a stylished form of Kathakali. Guru Gopinath developed his own style that was appealing to the masses who were then devoid of art and dance without compromising on the classical background.  We reached there at 10.40am. They welcomed us with soft drink. First we had a class by Dr. Sajeev Nair, a disciple of Guru Gopinath. He described his relation with Guru Gopinath and also about the art forms. At that time we were excited to learn more about the art forms. He enacted some of the navarasas and mudras. After the class, we walked around the museum and captured the beauty of museum through our mobile phones. I reached the school at 8.45am and marked the attendence. The day started with discipline duties for all of us to control the students from the school entrance to their classroom. In the morning, students wished me "Good morning teacher" and on hearing this as being called as a teacher for the first time, it made me so happier and i won't forget this moment ever in my life. At 9.20am Anju and i had gone for interaction session in the eighth class. It was the first period which began with a school prayer, pledge and a talk about mother tongue. We asked many tricky questions and distributed chocolates for the winners. At the fourth period, we group of 4, observed the class of an experienced teacher in the ninth grade. The class was exemplary. After lunch we came back into Jubile auditorium and then observed the classes going on there. At last, we got the opportunity to see the school museum. Sometimes we cannot find such a school museum in any other school.

  On the second day of our school induction, we reached the school at 8.45am and marked our attendance. Headmaster Bijo sir assigned duties to each one of us to arrange the students from the entrance to their classes. We spent a few minutes with IED students. At 11.20pm, Ajeesh sir assigned respective teachers for observation class and interaction session. At last, we had gone for noon and evening duty. We celebrated our dear Sr Jisha's birthday.

Going back to school not as a student but as a teacher. Today is the first day of my school induction programme. I got an opportunity to explore one of the largest school in Asia in terms of students strength - St Mary's Higher Secondary School, Pattom. We had arrived at school compound by 9am. Our team consists of 20 students from different optionals leaded by Fr. Sujith under the guidance of Dr. Ancy A. S. We had a meeting with the principal Fr. Babu. T. He talked about types of interview, social response and many more. He gave an opportunity for self introduction. Then we had a meeting with Headmaster Bijo Geevarghese. He told us about the rules and regulations of the school. Then we moved to different areas of the school to know more about the infrastructure facilities. During lunch break, we had assigned duties for the mid day meal programme for serving food to the students. The class began with the presentation of Reading and Reflection by Ponnu. She chose the book ഉമ്മാച്ചു by ഉറൂബ് . She presented it very well. After that, Anju took the seminar on the topic Analytic method and Synthetic method. She explained both the topics with the help of some examples. So that we got the idea quickly. Deepthi ma'am told about different clubs. I opted women's cell. Next hour, we had Joju Sir's class. He began the class with a thought of silence. Then Shalu presented seminar on topic Cyber privacy. After that, Maya maam divide us into different groups to discuss the topic Realism.Then Gibi ma'am taught us about introspection. Today first hour was taken by Stephen sir. Sir taught us about different aasanas and face yoga. In the second period, Maya ma'am gave the reviews on the seminars presented on previous day.  After that students  started presentation on the topic Ethinicity. Our optional students presented the remaining portion of computer virus such as hacking, plagiarism, netiqutee, etc. Last period dealt by Benedict sir on classroom climate.

  Feb 9  is observed as International SCN8A Awareness Day . Their goal is to inform affected families about available resources and educate the public about the rare but devastating genetic disorder. The day started with the assembly of physical science optional. As usual, assembly began with a prayer song. A special puzzle game was included in between the assembly. They distributed prizes for the winners who participated in Santa drawing competition and puzzle game. They announced their association name 'Cosmos' which means imagine, invent & inspire.  Bindhu ma'am delivered the message and told us about the International Conference commencing on March 3,4 & 5. Assembly ends at 10.15am. First hour, we had optional class. Jeena presented her reading and reflection and for that she took the book named 'നിന്റെ ഓർമയ്ക്ക്' by M. T. Vasudevan Nair. Today, Mathematics optional students started the seminar presentation under the guidance of a research scholar, Jeena ma'am.       In the second session, Maya ma'am taught us about naturalism Methods of teaching Negative education Role of teacher Discipline Merits and demerits During optional class, at first Suji presented her thought of the day. She conveyed a beautiful message. "Always be patient. Try to forgive others mistakes. " Next, Lekshmi presented her seminar on the topic 'Contributions of great Mathematician, Aryabhatta'. She prepared very short and precised ppt. Deepthi ma'am assigned different schools for the school induction program. I got St Mary's Higher Secondary School, Pattom.          After lunch, we had physical education class. George sir taught us about physical fitness and its components. Last hour, we had art and theatre session. We played different games and it was a wonderful evening.          ...

The day begins with prayer. In the first hour, we had optional class. I delivered a story about trust. Sr.Deepa presented seminar topic on 'Contribution of Great Mathematician -Madhava Sangrama'.Then Deepthi ma'am taught us about Kerala Curriculum Framework 2007(KCF). Second period was taken by Maya ma'am about aims of education and curriculum in naturalism. In the afternoon session, we went to the ground to play basketball, badminton, etc. Some of them played chess. Last hour dealt by Benedict sir. Sir taught us about teacher behavior and classroom climate.

Today first hour was taken by Maya ma'am. She discussed about different types of naturalism-physical naturalism, mechanical naturalism and biological naturalism. Next, Ancy ma'am taught us about developmental task and developmental hazards. In the last hour, we had optional class. The class starts with a beautiful story delivered by Sruthi. Then Monitha presented seminar topic 'Contribution of  Great Mathematician Ramanujan'.Deepthi ma'am taught us about Curriculum Framework and NCF 2005.

  In the first hour, we had philosophy class. Maya ma'am played a song at the beginning of the class and discussed about naturalism. Second period was taken by Gibi ma'am. She taught us about the Schools of Psychology -Psycho analytic school, Behaviorism, Structuralism, Gestalt school and humanist psychology. In the last hour, Joju sir showed a video on multimedia and then taught the topic Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience.
